How it works
- Finds your screenshots. Straight from Windows, including the folder OneDrive quietly moved.
- Checks what you pasted. Reads the history Claude Code, Codex and Cursor keep on your computer, and recognises your screenshots in it, even resized.
- You decide. Everything it found is laid out by day. Star what you want to keep, then poof the rest to the Recycle Bin.

Questions
Does Poof upload my screenshots or chats?
No. Poof reads files on your device and keeps everything there. On Windows the only thing it ever sends is your license key, to check it.
Which AI tools does it know about?
On Windows: Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, including images you pasted from the clipboard. It also checks VS Code and Windsurf chat history for screenshot files you attached. Chats in a web browser, like ChatGPT in Chrome, keep their history online where Poof can't see it; the "Older than" view takes care of those.
Why can't the phone app see what I pasted into ChatGPT?
iOS and Android don't let one app see what you shared into another. That's good for your privacy, so on phones Poof goes by age instead.
What if I delete something I needed?
Nothing is deleted until you press Poof. On Windows it goes to the Recycle Bin; on iPhone it waits in Recently Deleted for 30 days. Star a screenshot and Poof never suggests it again.
How does Pro work on Windows?
Buy Pro and you get a license key by email. Paste it into Settings → Poof Pro. One key works on up to 3 of your computers.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Poof Pro isn't for you, email us within 14 days for a full refund. Purchases made on a phone are refunded through Apple or Google.
Is there a Mac version?
Windows comes first. A Mac version is planned.
